Vancouver Opera: The Flight of the Hummingbird - M. Goulet; M. Yahgulanass, B. Gilson

Touring to over one hundred elementary schools across the province of BC, Jan makes his VOIS debut as Bear in this charming new children's opera.

Additionally, the company will present several public performances at the Baumann Centre in Victoria and two feature shows at the Vancouver Play house, as part of the Summer Opera Festival in May.

Despite the cheeky title ('petit'), Rossini described this robust work as "the last of my 'péchés de vieillesse'" (sins of old age). Jan will join Soprano Anna Shill, mezzo Arlene Overman and baritone Bob Overman. Simon Leung conducts.

Victoria Choral Society: Requiem in D minor; K. 626 - W. A. Mozart

Written at the end of his life, 'Mozart's Requiem' in D has become an iconic choral masterwork, a reputation that has only benefitted from the controversy surrounding it's mysterious benefactor and subsequent completion by Süssmayr.

Bach on the Rock: Gilbert & Sullivan, and Friends: Gems from the Savoy Operas - Gilbert and Sullivan

"“Gilbert & Sullivan, and friends – Gems from the Savoy Operas” will present selections from the repertoire of the Savoy Operas.  The programme will include well-known Gilbert & Sullivan favourites (such as selections from The Yeoman of the Guard, which critics consider to be Sullivan’s finest work); not so well known works by the couple (such as the rarely heard The Grand Duke); and selections from other composers active at the Savoy Theatre." Jan makes his Sooke Philharmonic debut in two back to back performances. Performance one takes place at the Sooke Community Hall.

Pacific Opera Victoria, City Opera Vancouver: Missing - Brian Current & Marie Clements.

Jan joins the original cast for the western Canadian tour of 'Missing', singing the role of Devon. The first leg of the tour begins in Victoria, with additional performances in Regina, Prince George and Vancouver.

Pacific Opera Victoria: Il Trittico - Giacomo Puccini.

Jan makes his POV company debut as the Song Vendor in Il Tabbaro, the first of three one act opera's in Puccini's Il Trittico.

Calgary Opera Emerging Artist Showcase: Ghost Opera - Veronika Krauses
